Satellite clinics
Our Kids’ 4 satellite clinics were established starting in 2007 with one goal: to raise the standard of care for children everywhere in Middle Tennessee. Located inside child advocacy centers in Clarksville, Cookeville, Lawrenceburg and Manchester, these clinics have allowed Our Kids to evaluate more than 3,000 patients who might not have received care otherwise.
By creating these safe, local spaces, Our Kids has broken the barriers that prevent people from seeking help for child sexual abuse. Many Middle Tennessee families don’t have the resources, transportation or time off work to travel to Nashville; Others don’t feel comfortable leaving their own community to seek care. Furthermore, many of Our Kids patients don’t have access to basic medical treatments, so it’s even more crucial that Our Kids medical providers are available to diagnose other conditions while providing expert medical evaluations and compassionate care when there are concerns of child sexual abuse.
